DevOps portal — Monitoring¶
Metrics and logs are in Grafana: https://apm.infra.jsm (VPN required). Sign in with your Pub Invest account. You see your own team's data.
You rarely need to find a dashboard yourself: the portal links each resource to its dashboards, already filtered to that resource. They're in the drawer's Dashboards list, and the first one is also the Grafana link in the resource list. Links open in a new tab.
| Resource | Dashboards |
|---|---|
| Virtual machine, Linux | Server overview (Linux Host) and Logs (Linux Logs) |
| Virtual machine, Windows | Server overview (Windows Host) and Logs (Windows Logs) |
| Database | Database: the team's PostgreSQL dashboard for that database, including query statistics |
| Namespace | Workloads and Pod logs, for that namespace |
| Keycloak client | Sign-ins and Sign-in errors, for that client |
| Web firewall site | Requests and Overview, for that site |
| Vault | Vault access log: who read and wrote the vault's items |
| Bucket | Bucket usage: size and object count |
| Network rule | Rule hits, for firewall rules only; rules between namespaces have none |
- Apps have no dashboards of their own: use their namespace's Workloads and Pod logs, or Logs in the app's drawer for the last few minutes of one pod.
- Alerts have no dashboard link.
Some of these data sources are still being connected. A dashboard that opens but shows no data is usually that rather than a problem with your resource; ask platform if in doubt.
